An exciting opportunity exists at a large, international company for a Senior Engineer, (IT). The suitably qualified candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
Main Duties:
• Medium to large System Level Analysis & Design (including architectural level design), Development, Testing and Integration of software using company standards and processes to achieve company objectives for quality, maintainability and reusability. This must be achieved independently.
• Ensure accurate time estimations and statement of work definition, timeous and correct execution of allocated projects and efficient use of resources to achieve this.
• Track record of technical leadership and liaising with project managers and the client
• Must lead software development teams for specific projects
• Proven proactivity
• Providing Leadership in terms of the following imperatives: Coaching and Mentoring, Driving Performance, Retaining and Developing talent, building partnerships across team and organizational boundaries (customers, silicon vendors, software vendors).
• Develop and provide domain specialist problem solving skills and knowledge whilst providing Leadership in terms of the following imperatives: Mentoring, assist in building partnerships across team and organizational boundaries (customers, silicon vendors, software vendors).
• Self driven knowledge and problem solving skill acquisition.
Requirements :
• BSc Elec Eng / BSc Computer Science (Honours)
• Minimum 5 years experience in software engineering (analysis and design), including RTOS/embedded and middleware design
• Proven track record of multidisciplinary systems engineering experience and leading a small team of S/W Engineers.
• Experience in CAK (Conditional Access Kernel) integration and Network Package (NP) integrations would be an advantage.
• Strong technical leadership.
• Ability to liaise effectively with project manager and client.
Salary is market related.
